Product Designer

We're expanding the product in many directions, and continuously reevaluating decisions we made in the past in order to improve every flow and detail. We want to do that faster and in more depth, so we're looking for outcome-oriented, seasoned Product Designers to join our core team. Each product designer is embedded within one of our core product teams, working hand-in-hand a product manager and a small team of engineers to create amazing design solutions for truly tricky technical problems.

6. Overhauling the UX for writing custom expressions
7. Crafting customizable, embeddable components for our SDK

Responsibilities

1. Deliver end-to-end design solutions that are truly elegant, beautiful, fun, and simple.
2. Keep complexity from creeping into the product, while giving users ever more power.
3. Be a thought partner with your team’s product manager to refine the problem definition, goals, and rough scope of projects.
4. Iterate rapidly and broadly in scrappy ways that make abstract ideas tangible and which move conversations forward.
5. Deeply internalize the needs and mindset of our users through insights provided by the broader team. UX research skills aren't needed, but welcome.

Profile

1. You think in terms of journeys, not screens.
2. Biased toward building things, not slide decks.
3. Work out in the open instinctively, out of an eagerness to receive feedback, and to riff and iterate with an experienced, skilled team.
4. Thorough and attentive to detail, with a high internal bar for your craft.
5. Exceptional ability to communicate design decisions and rationales through speaking and writing.
6. Comfortable with asynchronous collaboration, and articulating complex ideas remotely.

Skills and experience

1. Strong intuitions and craft developed over 5+ years of product design experience. Your work will rely on research and analytics, but it will shine because of solid instincts and craftsmanship.
2. Experience designing rich, deep web applications/tools
3. Technical enough to understand at a high level what's happening inside the engineering black-boxes. (If you don't understand the complexity, how can you simplify it?)

Bonus Qualifications

1. Experience with LLM-based UI prototyping
2. Experience with Web development (HTML, CSS, React)
3. Technical background or education (CS degree or similar)
4. Experience building or using developer tools
