Product Analyst
About the Role:
Product analyst is focused on a quantitative understanding of what users are doing within Scentbird (based on digital footprints, surveys, and experiments) aiming to see what they like or dislike and what leads them to engage, return, or churn. We consider Product analyst to be a bi-direction driver. On the one hand, he transforms business goals to data requests and reports/dashboards, on the other he proactively explores data to bring insights and drive right decisions.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Participate in A/B testing by supporting both the pre-test and post-test stages, ensuring experiments are well-designed, closely monitored, and results are analyzed to inform data-driven decisions.
- Rolling-out ‘data-as-a-service’ approach for Product team to make data easy to access, understand and make decisions.
- Communicate with Product and cross-functional teams, defining metrics they track, planning report structures, making it visually appealing and easy to understand, and automating the reporting process our BI system (we use Looker).
- Measure the impact of both existing and new product features and growth experiments on our key metrics (e.g. conversion rate, number of active subscriptions, the lifetime value of our customers, etc).
- Do ad hoc analysis: if something emerges in the data like a spike in usage or drop in conversions, you have to find out “why?”. Reports and research should not come just in the form of numbers and distributions, but rather in the form of action items (e.g., to increase X, we have to do Y).
- In collaboration with data engineers optimize data workflows, control for data consistency and coverage across domains and IT solutions (Looker, Snowflake, etc.).
What We’ll Love About You:
- You are business-orientated and have a passion for product development.
- You are proactive, you take the initiative and offer the lines of approach instead of dumping the problem on the others.
- You know how to communicate your opinion in a simple, well-argued manner backed by the numbers and are able to finish things you have started.
- You like to solve complex and new problems, try new technologies, monitor the market, and constantly evolve.
- You are not afraid to make mistakes or admit not knowing something.
- You are open to new and difficult challenges.
What You’ll Need to Have:
- 2+ years of data analytics work experience.
- Proficient in statistical methods, experiment design, and applying quantitative analysis to influence important decisions.
- Experience writing SQL queries and working with large data sets.
- Experience in product analytics and BI tools (eg. GA, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker, Tableau, or similar).
- Experience in delivering analytical solutions for complex product-related tasks (user pattern research, supporting experiments, feature analysis to improve the product metrics, use-cases analysis, etc.).
- Understand overall business value, rather than think and care just about numbers and charts.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- English language skills at upper intermediate level (or higher).
- Programming skills in R/Python.
What You’ll Love About Us:
- Competitive base compensation.
- Bonus program.
- Paid Time Off and Work From Home.
- A fun, creative and energetic work environment.
