Network Engineer

Remote

We are looking for a Network Engineer. All positions are fully remote (from anywhere in the world, except Russia and Belarus).

Responsibilities

Network Implementation:

  • Perform greenfield and brownfield network deployments.

  • Configure and install a variety of network devices and services.

  • Configure and support network monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, PRTG).

Network Maintenance:

  • Perform regular network monitoring to ensure optimal performance.

  • Handle and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.

  • Open and manage service requests with vendors and service providers.

  • Maintain up-to-date network inventory.

  • Automate routine operations to improve efficiency.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

  • Diagnose and resolve network-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring problems.

  • Provide on-call support for critical network emergencies.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with system administrators, security teams, and other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of systems and network components.

  • Engage with vendors to evaluate new products, technologies, and solutions aligned with business needs.

On-call Support:

  • Respond within 15 minutes to on-call alerts, assess the situation, and take necessary steps to minimize business impact.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years as a Network Engineer.

  • Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent level of expertise.

  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols, data center networking, and network architecture.

Hard Skills:

  • Cisco Equipment: Hands-on experience with Catalyst, Nexus, and Firepower series.

  • Networking Protocols: VXLAN EVPN, Firepower/ASA, BGP, OSPF, MSTP/RSTP, GRE, L2TP, IPSEC, LACP, vPC.

  • Operating Systems: Networking in Linux, Hyper-V, VMware environments.

  • Automation: Python, Ansible (network process automation).

  • Cloud Networking: AWS, Azure, GCP integration with on-prem networks.

  • Monitoring: Zabbix (templates, maps, triggers), Grafana, PRTG, NetBox.

  • Troubleshooting Tools: iPerf, tcpdump, Wireshark, mtr, traceroute, nmap.

Soft Skills

  • English at least B1 level.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

  • High emotional intelligence, calm under pressure.

  • Commitment to continuous learning.
