Middle backend developer (Node.js)

Location: within ±3 hours of Pacific Time (PST)
Language: fluent Russian or confident spoken English.

Tech stack:
Node.js + TypeScript, API development, MongoDB, SQL (ClickHouse), MQTT / Kafka, WebSockets.

Responsibilities:

• Build and scale backend systems that power critical product features and real-world automation.

• Optimize data pipelines for processing high-throughput geospatial and sensor data.

• Improve scalability and reduce latency in distributed, event-driven architectures.

• Develop APIs and services that deliver real-time insights to end-users.

• Monitor performance, track down bottlenecks, and maintain system health.

• Contribute to the reliability and maintainability of our backend platform.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience building web or mobile app backends.

• Strong with Node.js and TypeScript.

• Experience in API development.

• Proficiency with MongoDB and SQL (ClickHouse).

• Understanding of MQTT / Kafka, WebSockets.

• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience with NestJS, IoT, distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Turf.js, Redis, Golang / C++ / Python.
