Lead Product Manager - SME Lending

SMEs are the backbone of the European economy, generating over half of its gross value added. Yet securing funding remains a significant hurdle for entrepreneurs. Despite typically holding lower levels of debt, they’re disproportionately declined for loans and credit cards.

We are searching for a strategic, customer-focused Lead Product Manager to own and shape Finom's Credit Products. This is a key role dedicated to delivering experiences that empower entrepreneurs across Europe to manage their cash flows through on-demand financing. You’ll drive Finom’s Lending business and contribute directly to our long-term success. 

You’ll be working in a matrix structure with the Chief Product Officer (ex-OakNorth) and Head of Credit (ex-Oliver Wyman), playing a crucial role in shaping the future of how our customers access financing options, ensuring our offerings deliver both strong customer value and tangible business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Help articulate and drive the product strategy, roadmap, and P&L for Finom’s lending products.

  • Take full ownership of the credit product portfolio, overseeing both existing offerings and new launches across customer segments, credit product types, and markets.

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle: from opportunity discovery and research to development, launch, iteration, and continuous prioritization of the solutions that deliver tangible value.

  • Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the Credit Domain.

  • Manage and mentor a team of Product Managers within the Credit Domain, supporting their growth and professional development.

  • Become a subject-matter expert in SME financing, deeply understanding the full credit customer lifecycle to uncover and solve the most critical user problems.

  • Work closely with a dedicated team of engineers, data scientists, designers, and operations specialists, lead cross-functional collaboration with other Finom teams (legal, marketing, financial crime, customer care, etc.) while managing external partnerships.

  • Deeply understand the "jobs-to-be-done" for SMEs related to lending, translating complex user needs into clear, actionable product requirements.

Who You Are

  • You bring 7+ years of product management experience in customer-facing products within financial services, ideally in the SME SaaS or Fintech space.

  • You possess an in-depth understanding of Credit products.

  • You understand the needs and challenges faced by SMEs and entrepreneurs, particularly around financial management and cash flow.

  • You are highly analytical and data-driven, comfortable defining metrics, analyzing data, and using insights to inform product decisions.

  • You excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners in fast-paced, scale-up environments.

  • You are a clear and concise communicator in English (both written and verbal), able to articulate complex ideas to various stakeholders at different seniority levels.

  • You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, breaking down complex problems, and driving initiatives forward.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment/startup/management consultancy.

  • Experience with SME SaaS/Fintech products serving multiple European markets.
