Lawyer / Legal Counsel

Limassol, Cyprus

At PayDepot, we build cutting-edge B2B & B2C fintech products. We’re looking for a Lawyer to join our legal team and help ensure our operations run smoothly, compliant with regulations, and well-documented.

We have a beautiful office in Limassol, and if you’re not in Cyprus yet, we’ll assist with relocation for you and your family.

What you’ll do

• Draft, review, and maintain contracts, NDAs, and partnership agreements

• Draft and maintain Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Cookies Policy, and other customer-facing legal documents

• Lead and coordinate GDPR and data protection compliance, including DPIAs, RoPA, DPA reviews and data subject request handling

• Support internal teams on corporate, compliance, and operational legal matters and knowledge in obtainment of licenses in other jurisdictions

• Monitor and interpret new regulations relevant to fintech, payments, crypto/virtual assets (if applicable), and data protection, and translate them into internal policies and processes

• Prepare and organise legal documentation and regulatory filings

• Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and other authorities when needed

• Maintain and update internal legal databases, templates, and document flows

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience as a Lawyer or Legal Counsel, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or IT/tech

• Hands-on experience with GDPR compliance, including drafting privacy notices/terms, data processing agreements, and internal privacy policies

• Solid understanding of contract law, corporate law, and compliance frameworks (AML/KYC, sanctions, basic licensing concepts)

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken

• Law degree (LL.B or equivalent)

• Experience with EU law

• Ability to work in a structured and deadline-driven way and to translate legal requirements into practical processes for the business
