Have you built a sales engine from scratch: defined the motion, hired the first reps, and scaled to something real? If so, this might be the most compelling blank canvas you’ve seen in a while.
Manychat for Brands is a strategic initiative targeting brands and agencies. We’re past the design partner phase and approaching public launch, which means the timing is right to bring in a sales leader who can hit the ground running in Q1.
This is Manychat’s first mid-market sales division. You’ll work with the credibility of a market-leading platform behind you and the freedom of a startup in front of you. The ICP spans growth marketing and influencer marketing leaders at brands, plus agencies: a space primed for conversational automation.
You’re not here to inherit a playbook. You’re here to write one. If that’s the kind of challenge that energizes you, let’s talk.
Build and own the sales function for Manychat for Brands from the ground up: strategy, process, tooling, and team.
Personally close the first few deals while simultaneously laying the infrastructure for scale (player-coach model).
Design and run both inbound/inside sales and outbound BDR → AE motions, iterating rapidly to find what works.
Define and refine the ICP across brands and agencies; validate and evolve the go-to-market approach in close partnership with marketing and product.
Scale the team progressively from a lean starting point to multiple layers of AEs/BDRs as results validate growth.
Introduce an AI-stack and modern outbound infrastructure to maximize productivity and pipeline efficiency.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, operations, and the Customer Success team to deliver a seamless customer journey.
Provide feedback on pricing, packaging, and product fit. Your voice in the room matters.
Establish clear metrics, forecasting, and reporting rhythms; manage to targets for deals closed and average deal value.
You’ll need:
A zero-to-one mindset with “tech scrappy” energy, ideally forged at a Series A to Series C company.
Genuine comfort being hands-on as a player-coach: you close deals yourself while building the team and systems around you.
Proven experience leading a B2B sales team from a handful of reps to a full-scale sales org in a mid-market or similar segment.
Experience designing and running both inbound/inside and outbound sales motions.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; you naturally partner with marketing, product, and CS to drive shared outcomes.
It would be great if you have:
Familiarity with the modern AI stack for outbound and agentic BDR systems; we value modern approaches over old-school playbooks.
Experience selling to brand marketing, growth marketing, or influencer marketing personas, or to agencies.
Exposure to product-led growth or self-serve SaaS environments (not required, but helpful context).
We care deeply about your growth, well-being, and comfort. Benefits at Manychat don’t start with a spreadsheet; they start with a belief: that you should be healthy, able to care for the people you love, and set up to do your best work. Everything below follows from that:
📚 Annual professional development budget reimbursement for conference tickets, online courses, and other relevant resources to help you grow.
💙 Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents.
🪴Hybrid work and generous, and flexible time off
🍽️ In-office perks, including free meals and snacks.
🤝 Company-funded sport activities, annual offsites and team-building events.
🤖 AI isn’t a perk here; it’s how we work. Tools like Claude and OpenAI are available by default, and we genuinely back teams in adopting whatever makes them faster. It’s a toolkit that’s well ahead of the market, and you’ll have it from day one.
Visa sponsorship for this role is currently not available.
