Data Modeler

Location: Remote (UK working hours)

Salary: 3500 - 6000$ gross

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Analytics and Data Engineering teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance data models that support business and analytical objectives.

• Work directly with business stakeholders to translate analytical and reporting requirements into robust conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

• Utilize ERStudio (or similar tools) to design and document data models aligned with best practices and governance standards.

• Ensure data models are optimized for performance, scalability, and integrity within modern data platforms.

• Work with Databricks and distributed data environments to support implementation of models in analytical workflows.

• Support business analytics initiatives by structuring data for advanced reporting, forecasting, and decision-making use cases.

• Perform data profiling and exploratory analysis to validate assumptions and improve model design.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers and DevOps teams to integrate data models into data pipelines (Python / PySpark).

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Modeling.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing data models using ERStudio or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts including conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.

• Experience with Python programming language is preferred.

• Familiarity with Pyspark for data transformation tasks is a plus.

• Knowledge of database technologies and SQL for querying and manipulating data.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Experience working with Databricks in analytical or data engineering environments.

• Experience supporting Business Analytics use cases and working with business stakeholders to understand data requirements.

• English level B2+ (ability to confidently communicate in an international environment).
