Data Analyst (Finance team)

Baku

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance financial data analytics, including monitoring financial transactions and key performance indicators;

• Develop and manage attribution models to distinguish revenue streams and assess the impact of various financial activities;

• Work with raw financial and operational datasets to ensure accuracy and integrity;

• Create dashboards and reports detailing financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting;

• Reconcile raw financial data with accounting records and financial reports;

• Identify inefficiencies and growth opportunities within financial processes and conduct data-driven experiments;

• Collaborate closely with finance, accounting, analytics, and IT teams to align data insights with business objectives;

• Respond to various ad-hoc financial data requests and analyses.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a data analyst, financial analyst, or similar role, preferably with exposure to finance data;

• Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Superset, or Looker Studio;

• Strong understanding of financial metrics, budgeting, forecasting, and attribution methodologies;

• Experience working with financial systems and raw transactional data;

• Proficient SQL skills (BigQuery, MySQL, or similar) for querying financial databases;

• Analytical mindset with a strong ability to formulate and test hypotheses related to financial performance.
